INFO

DAYS OF OPERATION

Most trips can be scheduled on Saturday or Sunday from Memorial Day through Labor Day, depending on weather and river conditions. If you have a large group (more than 10), please call for information about the possibility of weekday trips.

Starting in August, we are only open on Saturdays.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please understand that when a reservation is made with Rubber Duck Outfitters, it is a commitment for us to hold space for you. We can, and may have to, turn away others from particular dates if we are full. If you decide to cancel, it can be difficult for us to book someone else on that trip, especially if cancellations are made close to the departure date. With this in mind we must be firm to the following policy.

  • Trips cancelled with a 15-day or more notice will get a refund less a $2 per person cancellation fee.
  • Trips cancelled within 8-14 days will get a 50% refund.
  • With the above two options, you may transfer your reservation to another day with no fee charged.
  • Trips cancelled 7 days or fewer or “no shows” will not be refunded. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Trips cancelled by Rubber Duck Outfitters due to weather or unforeseen circumstances will get a rain check that may be used any time.

LIABILITY WAIVER
WHAT TO BRING

What to Know

  • On the subject of valuables - use waterproof cases for cell phones or cameras. Ziploc bags work well for non-breakables but they won't protect valuables from damage. However, the best idea would be to leave valuables at home.
  • Make sure your car keys are in a safe place. It is not a good idea to take all your keys on the river.
  • Under no circumstances will littering be tolerated.
  • Bag all litter and tie your litter bag into your watercraft. Trash in and along the river can destroy the environment and the enjoyment for all those who follow. We want to take only pictures and leave only footprints.
  • What is the most important thing to bring to the river? It's the ability to swim and the knowledge that any water related activity poses serious hazards and risks to participants. You must understand and use safety measures to stay safe. You'll receive a river and safety orientation prior to your trip. Pay attention during this briefing. If something isn't clear, ask questions now.
  • Anyone under the age of 12 must wear a life vest on the water. Make sure your life vest fits properly and wear your vest AT ALL TIMES on the river - even when swimming. Don't over estimate your swimming ability. Be aware that there are sudden drop-offs on the river floor.
  • Land on the sides of the river is PRIVATE PROPERTY. Some sandbars are even private property. Make sure all stops are on sandbars in the middle of the river. Watch for "No Trespassing" signs, and be respectful if a property owner asks you to leave.
  • Be courteous to other people on the water. Watch foul language if kids or families are nearby.
  • Do not attempt getting off of the tube in deep water, near debris, or near bridges.
  • Anyone under 18 must have at least 1 adult with them or the group before renting any equipment.
  • ALCOHOL IS  DISCOURAGED ON THE RIVER. Anyone in possession of alcohol under the age of 21 is subject to arrest by the authorities. There are no refunds for people who are removed from the river. Your cooperation is appreciated.
  • NEVER DIVE OR JUMP into the river. You could find the river shallow, or you could hit a hidden rock or log.
  • PLEASE RESPECT OUR HOURS OF OPERATION.  ALL EQUIPMENT MUST BE IN AT BOTNA BEND PARK NO LATER THAN 6 PM.  A $20 LATE FEE WILL BE ASSESSED FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT COMPLY.

The most important thing to remember - HAVE FUN!!!
